Born in Rome in 1969, Saverio Tenuta graduated from the Rome Academy of Fine Arts and began working as an advertising designer and art engraver. But drawing comics has always been Tenuta’s dream, so he eventually left his former occupations to enlist in the International School of Comics in Rome. He started teaching comic book, sci-fi and fantasy courses at the same school in 1992. His first professional comics work was in Italy, and he has recently worked for publishers in the U.S., including Heavy Metal and DC Comics.
