RENO MANIQUIS

Reno has been writing short stories for comics in his native Philippines since age 13 and illustrating them since he was 14. During his college days, he created the newspaper strip Maskarado (Masked Man) and in the late ’90s he revived the character as a self-published comic book. He has contributed to various publications in the Philippines, including the award-winning anthology Siglo: Passion, Colors Magazine in Europe, and independent publishers in the U.S. like 803 Studios’ Sequential Suicide: Slop, Ultimate Comics’ Stormblazer and Twenty To Six Books’ The Hierograph and Wall of Angels. He has also also published Tabloid Komiks, an anthology which showcases stories and art from Filipino creators. Reno is also a professional graphic designer, art director and illustrator, and is currently a regular artist for Moonstone Books, where he has worked on characters like The Phantom, Captain Action, Lady Action, and Domino Lady.
