MURV JACOB

Murv Jacob (www.jacobandduvall.com) says he is “a descendent of Kentucky Cherokees, Alabama Creeks, Black Forest Bavarians, and Scottish and English hillbillies and seafarers.” Murv is a painter, a published author, and an illustrator of children’s and young adult books including Rabbit and the Well, Rabbit Goes to Kansas, Rabbit Plants the Forest, and The Opossum’s Tale (Grandmother Stories). He has done artwork on nearly a hundred book and video projects for publishers including Doubleday, Time-Life, University of New Mexico Press, and National Geographic Books. Murv lives with singer/writer Deborah Duvall in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he’s had an art studio on the main street for twenty years.
